Programme
Part One: Pastoral Monitoring
Part Two: Focus Topic Seminars/Field Days
The pastoral monitoring programme is designed to provide you with timely information to guide and assist your decision-making. It also allows you to monitor these farms over the term of the programme. The farms selected encompass a wide district profile to ensure that everyone can relate to and follow those farms more relevant to them. On a monthly basis a half-page commentary will be provided in addition to their PMS and historical farm reports.
The programme also comprises three field days/seminars a year dealing with topical and seasonal farming issues. Issues from ewe and lamb wastage to succession in farming businesses to low cost sustainable farming will be looked at over the term of the programme. Leading edge speakers will be invited to speak at these half-day field days/seminars and held on “best practice” example farms.
