Area 1566ha total, 1050ha effective
Average Rainfall 1100mm
Altitude 910-1700 feet above sea level
Soils Hunterville Sandstone/Papa base
Sheep Policy Romney breeding ewes and rams. Lambing commences 20 September. Weaning and first drafts taken 20 January. No ewe hogget mating.
Cattle Policies Charolais cross breed cows, Charolais bulls. Weaning late April, steer calves sold.
Pasture Renewal    Through winter crops, predominantly swedes and kale or rape, cultivated or aerially applied. Perennial AR1 pastures spring sown on hills and medium-rotation AR1 tetraploid pastures spring sown on flats.
Production Levels 130% lambing in 2006, 115% lambing in 2007.

Stock numbers at 30 June 2007   

10,000 S.U., 5,000 MA ewes, 1,400 ewe hoggets, 300 MA cows, 104 replacement heifers retained. 10,000 S.U.¸ 1050 effective hectares = 9.52 S.U./ha.
